As I write this post, there is a large part of me that is saying, how is it only Wednesday?! Our weeks have been jam packed the last couple of weeks and the days seem to be crawling by. I'm ready for things to calm down!
Eventually it will. Until then, here's this weeks What I Wore Wednesday!
work:
top: target
pants: loft
jewelry: f21
belt: express
I bought this shirt on clearance at Target. I love the color and the ruffle detail. Unfortunately, it seems to have gotten bigger between the ride from Target to my house. Here's hoping a wash and dry will make it fit a little better...
work:
dress: steinmart
belt: old navy (FIFTY CENTS!)
shoes: target
We're on our last few days of business casual before students show back up and we go a little more professional with our clothes. While most of my outfits will stay the same, this dress is about to be stored away from the working wardrobe and I thought I should squeeze it in one last time. I wanted to wear the purple belt and probably wouldn't have worn a necklace. However, the open neck seemed a little risque for work, so I put the necklace on and pretended like it all went. Fake it till you make it, right?
birthday dinner!
dress: steinmart
lipstick: MAC red
Simply put: I love a snazzy outfit on my birthday!
dress: Target, clearance
belt: express
shoes: Gianni Bini
Meet my new shoes:
{sigh.} I'm in love! {super comfortable too!}
work:
dress: j. roberts {in ruidoso, nm.}
shoes: target

I have a question...I'm a stay at home mom now and totally out of touch with what is in style for this fall/winter. But even though I'm at home all the time, I still want to look cute and pulled together. I'm looking for a few pieces that I can mix and match that I can add to what I already have. Some easy, inexpensive pieces. Any suggestions? You have such cute style! Thanks, Abby!

Abby, each dress is better and better. I love 'em! It's tough to pick a favorite, but I think that last dress is divine.
ReplyDeleteOn a totally unrelated note, any shot you're going to NACAC in September? If it's a yes, then we must plan a dinner.
That last dress is perfect, especially with the shoes! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI also am impressed with how versatile that necklace is. I love finding a good bold necklace that goes with just about anything!
Ooooh, so pretty! That necklace is fabulous. My favorite has to be the last dress. I really like that you paired it with some bright shoes. So fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Kathleen, she voiced my thoughts exactly! My goal is to find more dresses, because it's just so easy to thrown on a dress, some accessories and go. That last dress really is divine. My go to outfit to feel cute these days is either my pink Old Navy dress or the grey Garnet Hill dress that I recently bought.
ReplyDeleteDARLING dresses! i love them all! and your accessories are awesome. I struggle with accessorizing!
ReplyDeletegreat blog!

Very awesome outfits!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy go to outfit is jeans, I guess, lol! You look adorable in everything as usual. Couldn't you take that chevron striped dress from Steinmart and put a lightweight tee under it? That way you could wear it for school, or put a tank under it and a cardi over it?
ReplyDeleteYou look pulled together and sharp in all of the pics. My faves are the striped and grey dresses.
ReplyDeleteThis is only my third week linking up at WIWW.
