Happy Father's Day!
Poor Cody kinda got the shaft on his first Father's Day. We were supposed to arrive back from our trip at 4 on Saturday, pick Griffin up and make it home by 8ish, giving me time to quickly run to one of our stores to pick up a card. What really happened was that we made it in by 4:30, spent an extra hour and a half in the airport dealing with lost luggage, picked Griffin up and finally made it home about 10:30, totally spent from our day. Cody even spent all of Sunday after church working on camp stuff, so needless to say, we didn't really do much Father's Day celebrating.
We had two days to get our laundry done, repack and deliver Griffin to the grandparents before leaving again for junior high camp, so I quickly tried to squeeze in a little craft project to have something to give to him. I took a simple $1 frame from Michaels, painted it white, then added text cut out from my Silhouette.
I chose a few different paint colors and brushes and let Griffin go to town. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves:
Ha! Griff was definitely too young for this project. The only part of the frame that he actually ended up painting it a nice ugly brown. While Cody may not end up wanting to display the actual frame in his office, at least we got this cutie out of the process!
