no picture this week since I just put one up yesterday, but here's a peak at what my stomach looks like most nights! {the big movement is at the beginning, so you don't have to watch the whole way through if you don't want!}
Size of Baby: According to Baby Center, Griffin now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth. I'm guessing when we get to see him next week, he'll be weighing in around 5 lbs!
Symptoms: - Lots of firey pain this week. It's like he takes his foot and just presses as hard as he can against my uterus, which results in my skin just burning. It got so bad the other day that I actually like tapped my stomach and tried to reprimand him. He kicked in response as if to say, "Nice try mom!"
Cravings/Aversions: - Definitely craving more sweets these days, along with lots of water. I'm still picky about what I want to drink, but I have been wanting more of it!
Maternity Clothes: - Made it one more week of both, though my shirts are just about to reach the point where they are just too short to cover the belly. Looks like I'll be switching those over soon!
Sleep: - Thankfully I've slept good the past few days. Unfortunately I made the mistake of starting a new book {Saving CeeCee Honeycutt} and I have stayed up late every night reading it! {If you're a reader, it's definitely worth the lost sleep though!}
Funniest Dream Of This Week: - I keep having reoccurring dreams about having long hair. This past week I vividly remember putting it up in a casual up do and I was semi disappointed when I woke up with short hair. Do these dreams mean something?!?
Highlights Of This Week:
- The best news this week is that I finally get to share that I'm going to be an aunt in January! My brother and his wife told us a few weeks ago they were expecting. It was a TOTAL shock to us, but I am so thankful that Griffin will have a cousin close in age!
- I'm not sure that I can say childbirth class was a highlight of this week, but we did walk away with some good information. {key points: keep your car filled up with gas, no need to bring in your mucus plug in - we'll trust you that it came out, don't allow your husband to check and see how far he thinks your dilated} We did have to watch a live video of a birth... we were certainly not prepared for that! Cody was pretty darn quiet for the rest of the day recovering!
Looking forward to: the weekend! We have our first shower this weekend and I should pick up our bedding from my mom, which will make a huge difference in the nursery! We will also get to see Griffin on Monday, which should be fun!
And just because it's funny, here's one outtake of when I was trying to catch Griffin moving on camera. {You'll probably want to turn up the volume to hear... Cody is away from the mic} {and just so you know, everyone has been telling us walking will make the delivery easier, which is why he is bringing it up!}
