21 Weeks

 

{me and my boys. 21 weeks 3 days.}

 Size of Baby:  According to Baby Center, most babies are about 10 1/2 inches right now and about 3/4 of a pound. Since I am apparently carrying a giant who was that big last week, I'm not sure how big little G is right now. 

Symptoms: - Still just the rib and back pain. It's at least gotten better when I sleep, but it's rather constant during the day at work. 

 Cravings/Aversions: - Reaching for fruit this week! I love a simple fruit salad of apples, bananas, grapes, Splenda and a touch of coconut basalmic vinegar. Top with Cool Whip and it's quite the treat! 

Maternity Clothes: - Mix and match of both. I wore a regular dress today and told Cody how nice it felt to still wear my clothes as a reminder of feeling normal. He was like, "Why do you want to feel normal?! You're pregnant and supposed to look it!" {sigh} Men don't really get it, huh? :) 

 Sleep: - Sleeping great thankfully! 

 Highlights Of This Week: 

 - Cody got the nursery painted, we found a great dresser for $10 at a garage sale and we have a crib picked out! We must have really good taste too because the crib is sold out most places and will be back in stock in June. 

 - We got to hear our little man's heart beat this week, thanks to a semi freak out by me :) Griffin was SUPER active last week, but then I didn't really feel much movement Sunday thru Tuesday. I called my dr and said up front - I know I'm being crazy but I just need reassurance. Thankfully my favorite sweet nurse said - "You're not crazy! I do it all the time.. come on in!" and let us check on him. It was hard for her to find the heart beat, only because as soon as she would get it, he would move to a new position and she'd have to start the search again. I felt much better knowing that he was moving while we were there and I couldn't feel it.

 Funniest Dream Of This Week: - I dreamed that we got our taxes back in the mail along with handwritten notes from the IRS about what we did wrong and how we needed to correct it. We filed our own taxes this year with TurboTax, so I know this is why I was worried. Luckily our refund has already been deposited in our account so I don't think this dream will be coming true any time soon! 

Looking forward to: - Saturday! It's a very busy week for us at work and I'm ready to enjoy a day off!
