Ten. {happy birthday cody!}

I still remember the butterflies in my stomach like it was yesterday. An evening of primping, cleaning and cooking finally lead to this moment: our first time celebrating Cody's birthday officially as a couple.

I pulled out all the stops to make his favorite meal that night: mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, fried chicken (store bought, I'm not that good people!) and spice cake. I'd been listening over the previous weeks to create the perfect menu and apparently I did something right, because he later said that that was the night he knew I was the one.

We're now celebrating his birthday again and it's hard to believe that it's been 5 years since that special night. I truly can't believe how far we've come, the ups, downs, joys and difficulties we've faced together. There is no one else I would rather have by my side to walk in this life and I certainly can't think of a better way to celebrate with Cody today.

Happy birthday babe! I can't wait for our next adventure together!
