13 Weeks

Size of Baby: According to Baby Center and What To Expect When You're Expecting, Ten is now the size of a plum. The biggest development this week is that T is forming fingerprints and weighs about 2 oz!

Symptoms:
- Most symptoms are getting better this week, though I am slightly afraid that I'm about to be struck with second trimester morning sickness. I take my prenatal vitamin and an antibiotic at night and it has been a major struggle not to throw it up this week. I'm waiting to see if it's morning sickness or possibly because of a new thyroid medicine I'm on.


Cravings/Aversions: Nothing special this week. We did make a day trip to the metroplex and enjoyed On The Border. Spicy is always a good choice in my book right now!

Maternity Clothes: No technical maternity clothes. I did buy a few pieces of loose clothing this week that I should be able to grow into, including a pair of jeans a size up. I thought that would be a depressing thing, but they actually make me feel much better about myself right now, which makes getting dressed more fun!

Sleep: Sleeping fine. Still having lots of bathroom breaks!

Highlights Of This Week:
-We had a great sonogram last week with the high risk OB, including a 3D sono! I'll put the video down at the bottom, but just be warned, Ten is looking a little alien like these days!
-Taking a trip to the metroplex to go see my cardiologist and hearing that my heart is doing good. So good, in fact, that I don't have to go back until the start of the 3rd trimester! Crazy huh? {in case you're not familiar with my history, I was born with a heart condition and have 2 open heart surgeries. There is a slight chance our baby will have a heart condition and they're watching me to make sure I don't have any heart failure during pregnancy. So, a good report was definitely an answered prayer!)
-Scheduling our fetal heart sonogram mid-April. They're going to take a close look to make sure everything is developing correctly.

Funniest Dream Of This Week:
- While I am really only recording this because Cody loved it, I had a dream that I was in a television show called Breaking Dawn this week. Basically, we were fighting off zombies and vampires. Why in the world I had this dream, I have NO IDEA. Cody is the type who has a zombie apocolyse plan in place (you know, just in case!) so he loved it to no end. Two quotes that I told him: "I can't remember my special powers!" and "What can I say? I'm a zombie wrecker." Here's hoping the dreams get better from here on out!

Looking forward to:
- A bright, sunny weekend! I'm hoping we'll get a little bit of work done outside and I'm in desperate need of some sun on this pale skin!
- Entering the 2nd trimester!
- In just about 20 days, we'll know if Ten is a he or she! (and don't be fooled, just because every other member of my family says it's a boy, doesn't mean that they're right! pink all the way people!)
