So way back in October I started the Couch to 5k program.
And made it all of 3 workouts before I got too busy to finish it. I can admit that it was mainly my laziness that did not finish out the program The other part was due to travel season. I'm sure I would have been fine, but I just wasn't down with running in the very small hotel workout room by myself with my back to the door. That seemed like a scary movie waiting to happen.
So, the diet and most importantly, the TWO PIECE BIKINI DREAM, inspired me to get back into the work out habit, and currently I just started my fourth week on the program. Now, I ran three times last week, but only two of those were the actual week three program. Basically, I only got two days in where I was running for the three minute period, but I'm crazy so I decided to go ahead and move on to the next week.
So jump ahead to today. When I had already fought valiantly for a treadmill at the gym, only to get going and hear my podcast say that I would warm up for 5 mins, jog for 3, recover(aka walk) for 90 secs, run for FIVE MINUTES, recover for 2 minutes, and repeat. Hello fear rising in Abby's chest.
But ya know what. I kicked that 18 minutes of jogging's booty. And surprisingly enough, I actually enjoyed it. I guess there's a runner somewhere in me. She's just always been hidden under my love of donuts.
