it's your time to shine...

so i know most of my reading crowd out there, and i know that like me, you also probably need money. and you love blogging. who wants to blog and earn money at the same time?!

me! me! me!

so last night as i was blog hopping, i stumbled upon someone's site that said she found a site that pays you to blog to review items. and i said, hey, sounds like a good idea!

so i'm giving it a shot. it's a sight called payperpost. and basically, they pay you per post you blog about (reviewing an item, of course). simple, huh? blogging is the one thing I can allow myself to have some time for. it’s a great stress relief, and, in my previous post, I mentioned wanted to reach the greats heights of the blogging world. gotta start somewhere, right?

i do belive that you get up to $20 for the first blog. niiiiiccccce.

so, if you love blogging, you've got some great reviews to share, and you want to make some easy extra cash, you should definitely give it a try!!

Oh. And p.s. thank you c.c. for teaching me how to make a strike through! aren’t you all so happy I can update my list now?

oh yes, i blog.

cody so lovingly reminded me tonight that i haven't blogged in a while. so here you are, an update for all who have been waiting (hi mom!)

a few weeks ago i wrote all that i had to do in the next few weeks, which went something like this:
write an 18 pg exegisis
write a book review for a book i didn't read
write a theology paper
address 13,000 invitations
take bridal portraits
go home every weekend in may
oh yes, and pass my old testament class.

yes. i added stuff to the list. it's my blog.

here's an updated version of that list:
write an 18 pg exegisis
write a book review for a book i didn't read
write a theology paper
address 13,000 12,500 invitations
take bridal portraits
go home every weekend in may
oh yes, and pass my old testament class.

you see if my fiance and i knew something about computers those underlines would actually be going through the words. guess we need to go buy a copy of blogging 101 for dummies.

tonight for class, (which the unfinished book review and theology paper are due for) we, and by we maybe i mean i was the stupid one to ask, asked what exactly the theology paper needed to look like. to which the professor replied that we should have been working on it all semester long -interest astonished faces here- and it is not a project to be done in just a week. ok good, i was only planning on one night, how does that sound?

long drawn out story short, the professor told us we don't have to do the paper. now imagine 15 overwhelmed seminary students, trying to hide the smiles on their faces because this moment is what we all pray and dream will some day happen: we don't have to finish the hard assignment! all thanks to me and my simple question.

ok not really. the professor said he already debated it before the question. and for a short moment after i asked the question, i felt guilty as he was on his rent, but then i remembered: THIS IS THE MOMENT I PRAYED FOR!!!!!!!

and then i made a mental substrike
write an 18 pg exegisis
write a book review for a book i didn't read
write a theology paper
address 13,000 12,500 invitations
actually enjoy taking bridal portraits
go home every weekend in may
oh yes, and pass my old testament class.

thank you dr. lyle.

on another note. i have decided that when i grow up, i want my blog to be among the likes of dooce.com, pioneerwoman.com, bigmama.com... and type of woman.com apparently one of those requirements is to have nicknames for everyone you blog about. so currently i am in the process of nicknaming the fiance. tonight he mauled through a plate of tacos from rosas (tuesdays were made for tacos!) and when i commented on it he said, I AM THE DESTROYER OF TACOS! and tore off his shirt like the incredible hulk.. so until cody has his official nick name, he shall be referred to as the green d.o.t. (aka destroyer of tacos)

so please. my 4 faithful readers are not to grand about leaving comments, but for the sake of cody's nickname, leave suggestions. we may even have a poll. although if there are only four suggestions and you each vote for a different one.. well it could be a close call. so rack your brains for the sake of green d.o.t.

ok. i must go check another thing off the list. two da loo. don't know how to spell that but hooked on phonics worked for me.

correction:

cody said that my last entry was harsh, so let me clarify.

when i said, cody just wants good music i actually meant that cody doesn't think my taste in music is good.

blog for the week.

if i haven't mentioned it yet, i am currently living in a location with no entertainment. aka no cable or internet. aka no lifelines of hope. the one positive to not having these is that i have too much too do and i don't have them to use as tools of procrastination. hopefully no sources of entertainment will help me to accomplish the following over the next two weeks:
-15 pg. exegisis over daniel (halfway finished)
- 5 pg book review over a book halfway read (due tomorrow.. not good...)
- ?? pg personal theology (no thoughts on this one)
- ot final (do or die. )

plus i do not have one free weekend until the month of june. and then its one month till the wedding. can i get a goo? thanks.

since i am now a bad blogger due to my lack of internet access, let's do a quiz! hum. quiz. wrong word. brain doesn't want to come up with the right word. cody and i are in a great debate over songs to leave the wedding ceremony and a first dance song. i want something fun. (like faster paced/jazzy type) cody just wants it to be good music. so please. feel free to leave us suggestions. no promises that we shall use them, but hopefully your suggestions will help us find "theone[s]"

class is starting. woo. stay tuned. funny stories to come...

someone walking in at 4:48 on mondays.
that same someone not leaving till 5:09 on mondays.

where's waldo?

hello faithful bloggers. this past week was packed full, and my internet access has been cut off. but more on that later.

i've been out of the office for the past two weeks and life is flying by. two weeks ago i traveled to san antonio and houston for the national hispanic fairs. it was nice to get out of the office and see sterotypes come true right before your eyes.

last week was far more interesting, and i got to travel to san marcos and san antonio. oh my goodness. it has been years since i have been to the outlets at san marcos, but they are so much more fabulous than my dreams would have ever imagined. surprisingly enough, i did not spend that much money and came away with some great buys on a new purse and some house stuff. even more exciting, i was in san antonio for this :

yes, its true. i was a part of the final four action. i'll let you believe that i got to see the games on saturday night, and that i wasn't really there for a college fair and only saw this important person: Tyler Hansbrough, of UNC. (aka. LP's boyfriend, with permission from the hubby jason)

yes, please believe that i got to see the games, and that i am currently mourning with LP over the loss of her team. (one of these statements is true. )

the real reason that i have not blogged is that as soon as i arrived home from traveling, i was immediately put to work by my slave driver mother who had me staining cabinets, scrubbing baseboards and washing lots and lots of dishes.

or maybe, my awesome parents that i previously wrote about, spent 2 days without me, cleaning the new house in a way i never would have had the time or ability to do, and now we have a sparkling clean kitchen, beautiful doors, clean bathrooms and actual furniture to use in the house, foundly named the love abode by my mom. i will be posting pics soon, because you will not believe the amazing transformation that has taken place. since my stuff is over there now and i don't have a neighbor that has unlocked their wireless internet, my evenings are going to be much longer now that i can't "borrow" the internet off of church street. so sorry to tell you, the blogs will be fewer and far between these days, but rejoice in the fact that i am saving money. that should help you sleep tonight.

ok.. i am off to go unpack a box and then head to bed as its back to the real world tomorrow... have a fabulous week!
